Laurie is a Registered Psychologist specializing in counselling and sport psychology. He received his BA in psychology from the University of Arizona and his Master’s in Counselling Psychology from the University of Western Ontario with a focus on sport psychology and athlete motivation. Laurie has experience working with athletes in a variety of sports from recreational to professional levels in various age groups. He has been involved as an athlete in numerous sports including wheelchair basketball and wheelchair tennis and has competed at the collegiate, national and international levels. Laurie’s other areas of interest and expertise include anxiety, depression, stress management, performance enhancement, mental skills training, injury rehabilitation, trauma and transitions. Laurie tailors his approach to fit the unique needs of each individual using a variety of therapy modalities and collaborates with his clients to help facilitate desired change in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
